The brief.

Storage and style were on the top of Belinda’s wish list for the wardrobe designs, with different family members requiring different layouts and features.

A complete makeover of her walk-in wardrobe was top of the list, as was creating a separate built-in wardrobe for her husband Mark on the landing leading into the Primary Bedroom. For their 3 daughters, each bedroom needed a different wardrobe design and look, with two evoking a classic Coastal style, while the third was a compact version of Belinda’s walk-in with matching timber-look wardrobe cabinetry.

Belinda’s Stylish Walk-in Wardrobe Storage and Organisation

Stepping into Belinda’s walk-in wardrobe, a feeling of calm washes over you. The U-shaped layout features Nordic Oak Woodmatt interiors, with vertical strip LED lighting illuminating the contents of the wardrobe. The timber-look wardrobe cabinetry complements the modern Coastal meets Hamptons aesthetic of the home and adds a balance of glamour and warmth.

The wardrobe design has been thoughtfully executed to help Belinda store and organise her clothing, shoes and accessories with ease, as seen through the mixture of hanging space, drawers and open shelving. The result is a space that acts a sanctuary for Belinda, ensuring that getting ready each day is a joy.

“I love the soft close drawers, but my favourite feature is the strip lights! They not only make it easier to see what’s in the wardrobe, they also just look super fancy and give them that wow factor!”

White Shaker-Style Wardrobes in a Hamptons Coastal Home.

Located on the ground floor of the family home, the wardrobes located in two of the girl’s bedrooms deliberately took on a different aesthetic to those upstairs.

“I wanted the girls’ bedrooms downstairs to fit into the Hamptons Coastal style of our home which is why we chose the white shaker-style doors with the brass handles as it gives them a more modern touch,” Belinda explains.

To create the look, crisp white Sierra IV shaker doors were paired with Solid Brass Bar handles. Nordic Oak Woodmatt internals bring the coastal look together, while also being consistent with the rest of the wardrobes. A combination of hanging space, open shelves and soft-close drawers allows for easy organisation of clothes and footwear.

Landing Wardrobe with Custom Storage Design.

This wardrobe was the starting point for Belinda’s entire wardrobe renovation. Her husband, Mark, needed a separate wardrobe, and the ideal spot was just outside their bedroom on the upstairs landing. Given its visibility from the staircase, Belinda saw an opportunity to make it a stylish feature wall with coloured doors.

“We needed a wardrobe for Mark, because the existing walk-in wardrobe wasn’t big enough for both of us,” says Belinda with a laugh. “Because his robe was going to be on the landing outside our bedroom, we needed something that was stylish and practical.”

Green was the perfect choice, seamlessly blending with the lush greenery visible through the nearby window. Beyond aesthetics, the wardrobe was designed for functionality, with ample half-hanging space for business shirts, jackets, and trousers, complemented by open shelving and drawers for accessories, shoes, and other essentials.

Note: While this exact colour is no longer available in the Freedom Wardrobes range, we love Juniper Green Flint as an alternative.

The Compact Walk-in Wardrobe.

The final wardrobe is a smaller version of Belinda’s walk-in closet. Nordic Oak Woodmatt internals feature again, this time illuminated by Black Light Bars. Designed for Belinda’s youngest daughter, the design offers a series of storage solutions, from hanging space for dresses, drawers for folded clothing and open shelving for shoes.
